With winter comes dry skin, so inject life back into your dull skin with some hydrating help from Aesop.

Your skin is the largest organ of the body and yet, we (men and women), continue to neglect it. It doesn’t take long for your skin to freak out and start to dry out when the temperature drops and trust us, you don’t want dry skin. Dehydrated skin makes those little fine lines on your face stand out and it can also cause increased oil production.

What’s the solution? Let’s start from the top and work our way down.

Your scalp is prone to becoming itchy, dry and flaky and there’s nothing worse than discovering white dandruff flakes all over the shoulders of your black coat.  Aesop has a pre-shampoo treatment (Sage & Cedar Scalp Treatment, $35, 25ml) that is full of hydrating plant extracts to aid a dry scalp. Your alternative is to use a hair mask that also penetrates your scalp (Rose Hair & Scalp Moisturising Masque, $35, 120ml).

There are hydrating creams, gels, serums and masques to nourish your face, depending on how sensitive, oily or neglected your skin is. The Elemental Facial Barrier Cream ($60, 60ml) is designed to create a nourishing barrie on your skin from cold and harsh conditions. Ideal for Perth’s polar winter wind.

Don’t forget about the rest of your body. From your hands down to your toes there are lightweight and hydrating products full of plant extracts including Aloe Vera to soften the skin (Aesop’s Petitgrain Reviving Body Gel, $43, 150ml) and intense moisturising balms that are fast-acting (Rejuvenate Intensive Body Balm, $39, 120ml).
