Claire Fabb – Thursday 20 October
enex Style Series Launch Event
To open the inaugural enex Style Series enex welcomed Perth-born Claire Fabb. Claire is a stylist, digital editor and the founder of Style by Yellow Button, a successful Sydney-based personal styling business. Claire brought with her an extensive knowledge of the fashion retail and styling industry, having worked in various avenues across both Perth and Sydney. Perth Radio Personality – Kate Mac joined Claire onstage as MC to host the event. While these days there are simply no rules surrounding fashion. The days of having your colour pallete stipulating warm vs cool tones are a thing of the past! Wear what makes you feel wonderful each and every day says style expert Claire Fabb, and let it reflect your personality in all its glory.
Trend 1 – New Romantics:
Featuring Decjuba, take classic elements like ruffles, florals, lace and peplums and apply them to shapes that are lean, geometric and exaggerated. It’s a gutsy yet glorious idea. The result is femininity that replaces dainty with drama. And we’re smitten! Whether it’s a dress, a jacket, or a top, you need only one statement piece or pattern for maximum impact. There’s no need for a necklace or intense makeup; accessories should be stark and nails pretty and pale. Add a little spring to your step with strappy sandals or pastel platforms.
Look 2 – Pop of Colour:
You’d be amazed by what a little colour can do for a summer look. Try adding patterns, different fabrics and pops of colour to your outfit. Simply updating accessories can transform an outfit giving you a fresh and vibrant look for the new summer season. Focus on finding two or three shades that clash and contrast just enough so that every item looks intentional and thought-out yet still out-the-box cool. There are no ‘pair this with that’ rules. Now it’s your turn to create your most rebellious outfit.
Look 3 – Sports Lux:
Sports luxe is no stranger to the season trends we have seen over the last few years, and boy are we greatful we now have full permission to pair a comfortable sneaker to our wardrobe without the fear of looking daggy! Create a more elevated look by pairing a black structured play suit with some metallic sneakers.
Look 4 – Stripes:
Don’t be afraid to wear horizontal stripes or any stripes for that matter. Think softer colours and uneven hem lines. Both work really well in complimenting shape with a striped pattern.
