Led by some of Perth’s favourite and most sought after creatives, you can enjoy a true creative experience at enex this Spring with the enex Workshop Series.
Featuring 10 bespoke workshops across 2-weeks in a range of fashion, lifestyle, beauty and creative industries, choose from a range of subjects where you can learn the art of watercolour fashion illustration with Mekel, discover how to create with leather by Hammered Leatherworks, pour your own beautiful candle with Common Candle Co, learn about gut health with Nikki Heyder, and try your hand at floral artistry with Fox & Rabbit. All this and more at enex this spring.

Bespoke Watercolour Techniques Workshop – MONDAY 30 OCTOBER, 12:00PM & 1:00PM
Mekel has shared a passion for drawing since a young age. She thought about being a fashion designer, however quickly realised she hated sewing, and went on to study graphic arts instead. After working for over 10 years as a graphic designer for different boutique agencies in Perth, Western Australia, Mekel started kickin’ goals as a full-time illustrator. Mekel has illustrated for the likes of Betts Shoes, Urban Walkabout, Topshop, Revlon and much more – having been interviewed by Vanity Fair in 2015 and featured as one of their ‘5 must-follow fashion illustrators’.
Explore colour and creativity with illustator Mekel, as she guides you through the techniques of watercolours to help you create bespoke prints that will be sure to inject some colour to your life this spring.
Leatherworks Workshop – TUESDAY 31 OCTOBER, 12:00PM & 1:00PM
Husband and wife duo Adam and Bec, founded Hammered Leatherworks back in 2014. Believing in creating objects for pure joy and happiness, hammered was formed. Offering an ‘All in one box’ service, everyone can enjoy the craft of leatherworks with Hammered. It’s as simple as following some basic instructions and of course enjoying the journey along the way.
Try your hand at leatherwork and create your very own Clifford Card Flipper (as featured in Frankie Magazine) or Whisk Luggage Tags with the talented Bec from Hammered Leatherworks.
Candle Making Workshop – WEDNESDAY 1 NOVEMBER, 12:00PM & 1:00PM
Common Candle Co. was created in 2015 with a desire to bring deliciously scented candles to the Perth market. Seeking a chance to expand her creative side, Director – Kymberley Johnston looked to candle-making and since, has never looked back. Common Candle Co. creates candle scents that are hand selected, trialed, tested, and tested again, to make sure the fragrance is up to their high standards.

With a passion for health and wellness, Nikki Heyder is a qualified Nutritionist, Life Coach, Corporate Health & Wellness Consultant, Speaker & Entrepreneur based in Perth. Nikki holds a Diploma in Nutritional Medicine and Health Science and is passionate about sharing her views on business as well as health, wellness, and working to achieve personalised ‘balance’ within the health & corporate industries.
Learn about the power of fermented foods for gut health and how to nourish your body this season with nutritionist Nikki Heyder, as she talks about practical dietary tips and teachers you how to make your very own sauerkraut to take home.

Fast forward to 2017, the then 19 year old has significantly expanded her business, offering beautiful floral arrangements by day and stunning and unforgettable blooms by night, found at events, weddings, launches and more. Having taught more than 1,000 people through their workshops, Fox & Rabbit have plenty of floral tips for your next DIY event.
From flower selection to composition, Fox & Rabbit reveal the secrets of floral design as they teach practical techniques to create your very own floral fascinator.

Printmaking Workshop – WEDNESDAY 8 NOVEMBER, 12:00PM & 1:00PM
Beau Est Mien (which means ‘beautiful is mine’) began in 2008. Creating quirky and detailed limited edition printed artworks that delight and engage, Beau Est Mien quickly and literally stamped their mark of Perth’s creative industry. Their prints are hand-made and hand-coloured with water colours, using traditional printmaking techniques such as dry point, etching, and screen printing. Beau Est Mien have transformed their once little studio in Northbridge, into a vibrant community of print-makers, who are at the forefront of contemporary printmaking and design.
Be inspired to think out of the box with Beau Est Mien, as they offer an exciting approach to the traditional block printing process and cover the fundamentals of relief printing. You’ll discover the many ways that rubber stamps can be used in various craft activities including decorating cards, wrapping paper, notebooks, fabrics, and more.
